Some of the projects that Mr. Zurcher has
performed include:
• Supporting SEC registrants. Delivering
presentations to the SEC. Mr. Zurcher favorably resolved
accounting and reporting issues on behalf of clients, including
revenue recognition issues and accounting for business
acquisitions. Mr. Zurcher has delivered quarterly presentations
to audit committees of numerous public registrants addressing
SEC disclosure requirements and improvements to internal
accounting controls.
• Advising on business combinations. Mr.
Zurcher has assisted clients on various aspects of acquisitions
and equity investments, including investigation of target
companies, purchase versus pooling-of-interests accounting
decisions, purchase price allocations and Form S-4
registrations, delivering accurate, timely support to meet
company deadlines and maximize shareholder value.
• Advising on emerging issues. By
providing advice on emerging technical issues including license
revenue recognition, accounting for stock-based compensation,
and business combinations, Mr. Zurcher enabled clients to
achieve their financial reporting and business objectives.
• Evaluating business risks. Mr.
Zurcher conducted an economic risk review of Korean and Japanese
client service practices during the Asian economic crisis 1997
to 1998. Working as part of a team of specialists, he assessed
financial risks and evaluated the possible impact of the Asian
economic turmoil on the company’s business in this region.
Robert Zurcher is a CPA and a member of the AICPA and the
California Society of CPAs. He holds a BA degree in Accounting
from the University of Notre Dame. Mr. Zurcher and his wife have
two children.
